FAQ

Ordering & Shipping

Where do you ship?

We ship our beef boxes to all 50 states, including Alaska and Hawaii at their own rates.

When do orders ship, and how long does shipping take?

We ship by UPS every Monday and Tuesday. Your package should reach you within 48 hours of leaving the ranch. Holidays (especially Christmas and New Year's Day) and weather can change shipping days, so please plan ahead when ordering.

How is my order packed?

Orders are packed to ship frozen, using dry ice and an insulated liner. A box can sit on your doorstep for a few hours. Please make sure someone is home the week your order ships.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is charged per box. Each box holds up to 25 lb of meat. Rates per box: Mountain (ID, UT, WY, CO) $25; West Coast (CA, OR, WA, NV, AZ, MT, NM) $35; Central $45; East $55. Alaska and Hawaii are quoted at our current rates.

Is there a minimum order?

Minimum orders are 5 pounds. We cannot guarantee that anything less will make it to you in good condition.

Do you deliver locally or offer pickup?

Yes. Ranch pickup is available. Text or call us at 307-780-4966 to set a time. We also have pickup locations in the Bridger Valley, Green River, Rock Springs and Evanston; we will text you the day and time, and you have 10 minutes to pick up. Local delivery covers the Bridger Valley, Manila, Green River and Rock Springs every Wednesday.

Do you deliver to Utah?

We have made our shipping to Utah very reasonable. You are always welcome to take a beautiful drive and pickup at the ranch.

Returns & Refunds

What is your refund policy?

Because our product is perishable, refunds are only given for missing goods. No refund is given if no one is home to accept delivery or if a shipment is delayed by weather in your area. Orders under 5 lb are not eligible for a refund. If a holiday or weather may affect your delivery, send us a note and we will ship in a different week.

How long do I have to report a problem with my order?

Please report problems immediately. Because it is a perishable product time is of the essence.

Our Beef

How are your cattle raised?

Our beef is grass-fed and grass-finished Black Angus, born and raised on our family's pastures in Lonetree, Wyoming. We do not use hormones, or herd antibiotics. Our cattle are not fed grains, corn or soy.

Where do your chicken and pork come from?

Our chicken and pork come from NAE farms in the US.

How do whole, half and quarter beef shares work?

A whole beef is about 360 lb of cut and wrapped beef, a half is about 180 lb, and a quarter is about 90 lb. You can get it all at once, or we can split it into smaller boxes and ship them to you on a schedule (every 6 months, every 3 months, every other month, or monthly for whole and half shares). Shares have no substitutions or discounts. See the Whole, 1/2 or 1/4 Beef page for details.

How should I store my beef?

Your meat should stay frozen until used. To thaw, place in the fridge on a plate 24 hours prior to use. For quick thaw, place in a bowl of water for 30 minutes.

Other Questions

Do you ship eggs?

No. Farm fresh eggs are for pickup or local delivery only.

What is the Ranch Club?

The Ranch Club is our beef membership. You choose the box size and how often it comes, and we deliver to your door. Club members get a monthly discount, and their prices are locked in for a year. Ranch Club prices are adjusted each April.
